A Rich Background:
Scott Hertzog has a rich background with over 43 years managing and co-owning a thriving family business (Apollo Pools, Inc.) before its sale in 2021. Scott is grateful that his company earned the People’s Choice of Berks County award twenty-two years in a row!
Scott’s extensive experience in award-winning customer service has honed his ability to guide others toward success and to deliver the very best of experiences for his clients today.
Driven by Passion:
Scott’s passion for photography ignited as a young child in the 1970s, driving him to delve deep into its technical intricacies and artistic nuances. In those days, there were no “do-overs” because cameras used film and every shot required precision “everything” to come out perfectly. Scott’s dedication to the craft and drive for perfection led him to become a seasoned photographer and drone service provider, complementing his role as a trusted and well-known small business consultant in management and marketing.
Commitment to Community:
Beyond his professional endeavors, Scott is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He actively supports charitable causes through photography fundraisers and generous donations of his services and money.
Here are some of the charities we support.
Peace of Mind:
Your safety and peace of mind are priorities and you can trust us to provide a secure and welcoming environment for your photography needs. Scott has undergone rigorous background checks and holds current clearance certificates for both Pennsylvania Child Abuse History and the PA State Police Criminal History Background Check. Scott is also certified in first aid, BLS, AED, CPR and Wilderness First Aid.
When you choose Scott Hertzog Photography, you’re not just hiring a photographer – you’re partnering with a team that prioritizes your safety and satisfaction.
Emergency Services:
Scott is a first responder holding significant roles such as president, board chairman and drone unit lead at Berks County Search and Rescue, Station 2. He also is employed (part time) by Special Operations Group Hazmat Team, Station 710, at Berks County Department of Emergency Services.
If an emergency call comes in during your event, Scott will stay with you, working to provide you with the services you purchased and deserve.
We’re More Than One:
While our company name may imply we’re a one person operation, nothing could be further from reality. We are a team of photographers and assistants, currently consisting of two assistants and two second photographers. With our team, we can manage larger scale events comfortably!
Embracing Freedom:
Despite his busy schedule, Scott finds joy in leisure activities. He embraces the freedom of hiking, kayaking and riding his Harley Davidson with friends, family and especially, his wife, relishing moments of adventure and camaraderie.
At home, he cherishes endearing moments with his wife and their beloved adopted rescue dog, Sage.
